Privacy policy

We collect as little personal data as possible. Reading Solana Journal does not require an account, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

When you read the site

  • No tracking cookies. We do not set cookies for readers and do not run advertising or cross-site tracking scripts.
  • Article view counts. When you open an article, your browser tells our server that the article was viewed so we can rank popular articles. Your IP address is held only briefly in server memory to avoid counting the same visit twice and to block abuse; it is not stored in our database. We store only a daily total per article.
  • Server logs. Like any website, our hosting infrastructure records technical request data (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) in short-lived logs used for security and troubleshooting.
  • Share buttons are plain links. Nothing is loaded from social networks unless you click one.

If you subscribe to the newsletter

We store your email address, your subscription status, the date you subscribed or confirmed, and which signup form you used. We use this only to send the newsletter and to honour unsubscribe requests. When email confirmation is enabled, we send one confirmation message before adding you to the list.

You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email. After you unsubscribe we keep your address marked as unsubscribed so that we don’t contact you again. If you would like it deleted entirely, email us.

Service providers

The site, its database and uploaded images run on a server we rent from our hosting provider. Other providers we use:

  • our email delivery provider, to send confirmation and newsletter emails (only if you subscribe).

We do not sell, rent or share your personal data for marketing.

Staff accounts

Members of the editorial team sign in to an admin area. Their sessions use essential authentication cookies, which are not used for anything else.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, and to complain to a data-protection authority. To make a request, email editors@solanajournal.blog. We will respond within one month.

Changes

If we change how we use personal data, we will update this page and the date above.
